About Me

I am known to be highly ambitious, organized, and keen to time management. I aspire to graduate with my Doctorate of Nurse Practice and I am considering pursuing a PhD in nursing. I plan to utilize my degree in the clinical and classroom setting. Some of my  personal hobbies include baking sweets and running. A fun fact about me is that I have played the flute for 9 years.

The yearning for a healthcare related trip came into fruition when I had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua through the organization Filters of Hope that partnered with Campus Crusade for Christ. We installed water filters in communities where many of the residents were sick due to water borne pathogens.

I worked this summer as a special needs camp counselor at the YMCA with the intention to save up money to join a trip where I could use my nursing skills. Despite my diligent hours searching, I was unable to find a program that suited me. To my surprise, I learned about UF in Grenada as I was sitting in my Systems of Care course. I decided to join my fellow nursing students to Grenada because I have desired to align my passions of traveling, education, and healthcare.
